Manifesting Your Dreams: How Moms Can Partner with the Universe to Bring Their Goals to Life

Motherhood often demands so much of us that it’s easy to lose sight of our own dreams. But what if you could reclaim your desires and start living a life that feels aligned, exciting, and even a little magical? That’s what manifesting your dreams is all about—and it’s not as woo-woo or complicated as it may seem.

In this episode, I’m sharing what manifestation really is, how it’s worked in my own life (in ways I couldn’t have planned), and how you can start inviting your desires in—right now, even in the chaos of motherhood.

What Does “Manifesting Your Dreams” Really Mean?

Manifestation is about getting clear on what you want, putting it out into the world, and staying open to receiving it in ways you might not expect. It’s not about controlling every detail—it’s about creating energetic alignment. You’re essentially telling the universe: “Hey, I’m ready for this. Bring it on.”

For moms especially, this means making space for yourself and your desires—no guilt, no apology. Because when you start going after your dreams, everyone around you benefits too.

Step 1: Get Clear on What You Want (Using All Five Senses)

The first step in manifesting your dreams is to know exactly what you want—and to visualize it in full sensory detail. Ask yourself:

  • What does it look like?
  • What does it smell like?
  • What does it sound like?
  • What would it feel like to touch?
  • What would I taste if I were living this life?

Let’s say you want an organized, peaceful home office. Don’t just think “less clutter.” Think soft chairs, the scent of eucalyptus, spa-like vibes, natural light, and calming music in the background. Getting specific engages your subconscious and helps you recognize the opportunities around you.

Step 2: Keep Your Words Positive

Our words are powerful. Instead of saying, “I don’t want to feel so disorganized,” try, “I want to feel calm, clear, and organized.” Avoid focusing on what you don’t want. State what you do want—clearly and confidently.

This shift is a cornerstone of manifesting your dreams, because what we focus on expands. Language shapes belief, and belief shapes action.

Step 3: Let Go of the Timeline

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned about manifestation is this: the universe works on its own schedule. Yes, I set intentions and make vision boards for the year ahead, but sometimes things show up sooner—or later. And that’s okay.

When you stay open and flexible, you’re more likely to recognize when something amazing shows up unexpectedly.

Step 4: Stay Open to How It Will Happen

You don’t need to know exactly how your dream will come to life. You just need to know what the dream is.

Take my story of manifesting a home organizer. I had put “Pinterest-worthy office” on my vision board. A few weeks later, I introduced myself to another mom at a birthday party—she turned out to be a professional organizer. Total surprise. Complete alignment. That project led to not only an organized office and garage but also a genuine new friendship I never saw coming.

This is what I call a collateral blessing—an unexpected gift that comes alongside your original goal. When you’re manifesting your dreams, leave room for those beautiful surprises.

Real-Life Example: First-Class Flights to London

Here’s another powerful story. My family wanted to travel to London, and I dreamed of flying first-class—those cozy pods, real sleep, all of it. At first, the cost seemed impossible. But because I had put that dream on my vision board, I was determined to find a way.

Long story short: I discovered a flight combo that came in under budget, and—miraculously—our tax return ended up being almost the exact amount we needed. That dream came true in a big way, and the entire trip felt elevated, memorable, and restful (even with kids!).

A Quick Manifestation Check-In

Now it’s your turn. Close your eyes, take a deep breath, and ask yourself:

  • What would make your life easier right now?
  • What would make your days more fun?
  • What’s something that’s been quietly on your heart?

Let it be big or small. Let it be secret. Let it feel selfish, even. If it matters to you, it matters.

Manifesting your dreams starts with believing they’re worth pursuing—no matter how long they’ve been sitting on the back burner.

Vision Boards: Your Manifestation Shortcut

I’ve found that having a vision board makes all of this easier. It keeps your dreams front and center, trains your brain to look for opportunities, and builds confidence when things start falling into place.

If you don’t have one yet, I offer a done-for-you vision board experience that helps you get started quickly and with clarity. Because sometimes a little help is all you need to finally take that first step.

Final Thought

Whether it’s a luxury home office, a trip across the ocean, or just a bit more space to breathe—manifesting your dreams is entirely possible, even in the busy middle of motherhood. You don’t have to wait for a perfect time. You just have to begin.
